Opportunity
There was an opportunity to transform the website from a static portfolio into an interactive, narrative-driven platform that positioned Martina as both an artist and a craftsperson. By highlighting behind-the-scenes processes, featured collaborations, and customization journeys, the website could build trust, elevate perceived value, and create a stronger connection between Martina and her audience—while enabling seamless exploration, purchase, and commissioning of bespoke jewellery pieces.
Problem Statement
Martina, a mushroom jewellery artist, previously had a static website that served as a basic showcase of her work. While it displayed product images, featured pieces, and proof of presence, it did not reflect her identity as an artist or communicate the craftsmanship behind her jewellery. The lack of interactivity and storytelling made it difficult for visitors to understand her creative process, explore collaborations, or engage with her bespoke offerings.
Why Does it Matter?
For an artist working with handcrafted and custom jewellery, trust and emotional connection play a critical role in conversion. Without visibility into the making process, material choices, and artistic intent, potential buyers may perceive the work as decorative rather than collectible or bespoke.
